Post by t***@spamgourmet.comhe was silent and tormented, but nobody cared.
That's true, and that's tragic. But he was old enough and intelligent
enough to know he needed help, from what I've read. Once you are
capable of realizing something isn't right, that you need help or else
you might end up hurting someone, you lose all rights to sympathy when
you take someone else down with you. That doesn't completely
exonerate those who deliberately provoked him, of course - such
senseless bullying should be stopped, we shouldn't even treat animals
that way let alone another human being. But he's the only one who
pulled the trigger, and the only one who could've stopped himself
before it got that far.
I feel a bit torn when it comes to those who died who may have been
among his worse tormentors, though. Having been the object of such
bullying, part of me feels a little sense of satisfaction knowing that
some abusers have their abuse blow up in their faces like that. Yet
in the same vein, virtually all abusers are simply repeating things
that had been done to them at some point. Our species is just one
whole senseless cycle of abuse, one generation right after the other,
all the way back to since well before we were even remotely human. So
in that sense, even his abusers were "victims" of a sort.
But then as I said for him, his abusers are 100% responsible for
taking it out on someone else. You only have the right to be called a
"victim" up to right before the point where you start dragging
innocent people into it with you.
